We had the opportunity to travel recently with a friend and his 1918 Pierce-Arrow Model 48 Touring - one of a number of Pierce-Arrow's in his collection, the car looks fantastic for having a decade old restoration. In the mid to late teens, Pierce-Arrow was arguably making the finest American cars. Yes, there were others, such as Packard, but these cars are exceptionally well built. After driving the 1909 Pierce around this car from 1918 seems down-right modern. A very solid and comfortable car to tour with.
