1958 Glidden Tour - 1902 Stanley

Tags

Just back from a personal tour of some wonderful private collections back east. While there I picked up these photos from Dad's collection. I'll be featuring these photos over a series of posts. He acquired these at the 1958 Glidden Tour which revisited one of the stops on the original 1905 tour - Bretton Woods, NH. The 1958 event was a hub-style tour and you'll notice some of the attractions they saw over the next couple of posts. This first image features the 1902 Stanley (chassis 106) of Dan Feuer. According to the Stanley Register, Dan sold this car in the mid-1970s and it is said to reside in Germany today. Amazingly, over a half-dozen 1902 Stanleys have survived.
